Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that develops from a thin layer of tissue that covers many internal organs (known as mesothelium). The most common area is lining the lungs and chest wall.   Less common abdominal lining Rarely is a sac surrounding the heart, [10] or a bag around the testicles may be affected. Signs and symptoms of mesothelioma may include shortness of breath due to fluid around the lungs, abdominal swelling, chest wall pain, coughing, feeling tired, and weight loss.  These symptoms usually come slowly.

More than 80% of mesothelioma cases occur due to asbestos exposure.  The greater the exposure, the greater the risk.  In 2013 around 125 million people were exposed to asbestos at work.  The high level of disease occurs in people who extract asbestos, produce asbestos products, work with asbestos products, live with asbestos workers, or work in buildings that contain asbestos. Asbestos exposure and cancer onset are usually separated by around 40 years.  Washing clothes from someone who works with asbestos also increases the risk.  Other risk factors include genetics and infection with the Seaman virus.  The primary diagnosis of X-rays from X-ray and CT scans has been confirmed by cancer cancer screening.

Prevention centers around reduce exposure to asbestos.  Treatment often involves surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.  A procedure known as pleurisy, which involves the use of substances such as scars for scarring from the pleura together, can be used to prevent more fluid from building around the lungs.  Chemotherapy often involves the drug cisplatin and pymetricide.  The percentage of people who survive five years of diagnosis is an average of 8% in the United States.

In 2015, around 60,800 people were infected with mesothelioma and about 32,000 people were sick. Signs and symptoms

Pleural Mesothelioma

Symptoms or signs of mesothelioma may not appear until 20 to 50 years (or more) after exposure to asbestos. Shortness of breath, coughing and chest pain are often caused by accumulation of fluid in the pleural space (pleural effusion) from pleural mesothelioma symptoms.

Mesothelioma that affects the pleura can cause these signs and symptoms:

• Chest wall pain
• Pleural effusion, or fluid that surrounds the lung
• Out of breath
• Fatigue or anemia
• Wheezing, hoarseness, or coughing
• Blood in phlegm (fluid) cough (hemoptysis)

In severe cases, a person may have many tumor tumors. Individuals can develop pneumothorax, or lung collapse. This disease can spread, or spread to other parts of the body.

Peritoneal mesothelioma

The most common symptom of peritoneal mesothelioma is swelling of the abdomen and pain due to ascites (accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity). May include weight loss, fever, night sweats, poor appetite, vomiting, constipation, and secret hernias. If the cancer has spread outside the mesothelium to other parts of the body, it may include pain, difficulty swallowing, or a swollen neck or face. Tumors that affect the abdominal cavity often do not cause symptoms until they are late. Symptoms include: [citation needed]

• Pain in the stomach
• Ascites, or accumulation of abnormal fluid in the stomach
• Mass in the stomach
• Problems with intestinal function
• Weight loss

Pericardial Mesothelioma

There is no good picture of mesothelioma in the heart, but observed cases include heart disease, especially limited tachycardia, heart failure, pulmonary embolism, and heart attack. It also includes non-specific symptoms, including chest pain, orthopenia, and coughing. These symptoms occur due to tumor blockage or heart penetration.

End Stage Mesothelioma

In cases of severe illness, the following signs and symptoms may appear: [citation needed]

• Blood clots in blood vessels, which can cause thrombophlebitis
• Intravenous coagulation is a disorder that causes heavy bleeding in many organs
• Jaundice, or yellowing of the eyes and skin
• Low blood sugar levels
• Pleural effusion
• Pulmonary embolism, or blood clots in the pulmonary arteries
• Strong increase

If mesothelioma is a tumor, the most common are the liver, adrenals, kidneys or other lungs.
